A warm and very heartfelt thank you to the Eric Hoffer Award Committee for shortlisting my book, Jane's Jam: Inspiration To Create Your Super Awesome Life, for 2023 Eric Hoffer Grand Prize Award! The Eric Hoffer Book Award honors the memory of the great American philosopher Eric Hoffer by highlighting salient writing, as well as the independent spirit of small publishers. Since its inception, the Hoffer Award has become one of the largest international book awards for small, academic, and independent presses. Everyone needs a cheerleader in life. Like me, Eric Hoffer began writing his thoughts down after recovering from a brain injury. He wrote his first books with no formal literary training. Each year the Hoffer Award receives over 1,000 international entries with only 5% reaching the final shortlist for the Grand Prize. Right now, I am a small fish in a big pond. I am thrilled, honoured, humbled, and grateful to be recognized among such an accomplished group of writers from all walks of life, cultures, and countries.
Moreover, a big thank you to all the readers, fellow authors, reviewers, bloggers, librarians, friends, family, booksellers, and my publisher She Writes Press who continue to cheer me on and encourage me to do my very best.
